The NYCLU relies heavily on the active engagement of its 48,000 members to defend civil liberties and civil rights. Each day, all over the state, our members educate the public, lobby policymakers, build coalitions, and mobilize other New Yorkers. You can get involved! Here are some ways to get started:
Join an ongoing public advocacy campaign. NYCLU members throughout the state are working to influence public policy.
Participate in an online advocacy campaign. Want to take action immediately? Scroll down to see our active online advocacy campaigns.
Schedule a training or workshop. The NYCLU offers trainings and workshops on a range of civil liberties issues. Click here for a current list.
Attend a meeting at your local NYCLU office. If you live in New York City you can join a group of activists who meet monthly to take action on current civil liberties issues. If you live outside New York City contact your regional chapter or office to get involved.
Join us. If you're not already a card-carrying member of the NYCLU, get on the rolls.
